Where Faith Begins

From the sermon Everything You Need To Know About the Old Testament

This week, Pastor walked us through something powerful, the foundation of our faith.

He reminded us that you don’t come to God trying Him out. You come believing.

Hebrews tells us that without faith, it is impossible to please Him. That means faith isn’t optional, it’s foundational.

The Old Testament shows us who God is and who we are.

• It shows us that we were created on purpose.

• It shows us that sin began with disobedience.

• It shows us that sin carries a cost.

• But it also shows us that God made provision through sacrifice, through the law, and ultimately through the promise of a Savior.

And then Pastor reminded us of something practical: God looks at the heart.

When we give, when we obey, when we serve, He sees the why behind it.

Walking with God isn’t about arguing theology. It’s about believing, obeying, honoring, and trusting.
