When Heaven Changes The Story

Dr. GreGory Wendell reminded us that before God changes the situation around us, He may begin by changing something within us.
It is easy to recognize the faults of another person. It is harder to stand before the mirror and ask, “Lord, is there anything in me that needs to change?”
Perhaps it is pride, fear, disobedience, an unhealthy habit, or something we keep saying even though God has told us to let it go. God does not reveal these things to condemn us. He brings them to the surface because He loves us and wants us to grow.
We will not always get everything right. Even when our spirit is willing, our flesh can be weak. When we fall short, we can repent, receive God’s forgiveness, and keep moving. We do not have to punish ourselves for something God is ready to forgive.
When we turn our hearts, thoughts, habits, and decisions over to Jesus, the reversal begins. Fear can become peace. Confusion can become wisdom. Frustration can become testimony. What the enemy meant for evil can still be used for our good.
God is not finished with us. He is preparing our hearts so that His Word can take root, flourish, and produce fruit in its proper season.
What are you ready to turn over to God so He can begin the reversal?
