WHEN THE LONG WAY IS GOD'S WAY

Dr. GreGory reminded us this week that the wilderness isn’t just a place of failure—it’s also a place where faith is revealed. While Scripture often highlights those who complained, God never stopped recording the ones who stayed faithful, kept moving, and continued to speak well of Him.
Some wilderness seasons come from unbelief, but others come from protection. God may reroute us—not to punish us—but to keep us from running back to what we’ve already been delivered from. What feels like a delay may actually be mercy in motion.
The question becomes less about why we’re in the wilderness and more about how we’re walking through it. Are our words feeding fear or forming faith? Are we guarding our hearts and environments, or slowly becoming worn down by noise, negativity, and pressure?
The wilderness can’t bury a remnant. God still remembers those who speak life, walk in obedience, and choose light—even when the path feels long.
Reflection:If heaven is recording this season of your life, what would your words prove—and are you walking as light where you are right now?
