It Did Not Come From Nowhere

What appears to come “out of the blue” may not be random at all. It may be something God has already prepared beyond what we can presently see.
We often use that phrase when an unexpected call comes, a new opportunity opens, or something suddenly changes. From our limited view, it seems as though it happened without warning. But heaven may have been working long before the answer reached us.
In this sermon, Dr. GreGory shared his experience of receiving several rejections while searching for a home. He remained prayerful, continued making wise decisions, and refused to stop being generous while he waited. Then, out of the blue, the call came: “We chose you.”
The unexpected answer did not mean there had been no process. It meant that God had been working beyond what he could see.
This message also reminded us to develop spiritual discernment. God may use an interruption, a closed door, a delay, or even a small inconvenience to guide us. Instead of immediately becoming frustrated, we can pause and ask, “Lord, are You redirecting me?”
In Hosea 2:15, God promised to turn the Valley of Achor—a place associated with trouble—into a door of hope. That means God can take a place connected to failure, disappointment, or correction and use it as the entrance to restoration.
The valley does not have to be the end.
The rejection does not have to be final.
The season that caused pain may become the very place where God opens a new door.
Our responsibility is to stay faithful, remain obedient, and be willing to walk through the door when it opens.
