On The Eve of Your Tomorrow

From the sermon “On The Eve of Your Tomorrow” by Dr. GreGory Wendell

You’re not having a bad day…you might just be carrying yesterday. That’s the reality this message gently brought to the surface. Sometimes it’s not the day that’s off. It’s what we brought into it.

This sermon reminded us that every new day comes with fresh mercy—not leftovers, not recycled grace—but something brand new, designed just for you.

But here’s where it gets real…

God refreshes the day. We have to choose to enter it refreshed. And many times, we don’t.

We wake up still holding onto yesterday’s frustration…yesterday’s disappointment…yesterday’s offense. So what was meant to feel new…starts to feel heavy. Not because God didn’t prepare the day, but because we never released the last one.

The question isn’t if God will provide. The question is… how are we entering?

Are we stepping in with expectation…or dragging in what we should’ve left behind?

With surrender…or with resistance?

One of the most powerful reminders from the message came down to one word:

Nevertheless.

That’s the turning point. It’s the moment we stop trying to control everything…and trust God with what we don’t understand. It’s where we release what was…so we can receive what is.

Because on the other side of that surrender…is a tomorrow that’s already full.
