Embracing the Season of Open Doors

In a recent sermon, Dr. GreGory shared a powerful message based on Luke 11, where Jesus encourages us to "knock, and it shall be opened." He spoke not only about the importance of asking God for what we need but also about recognizing the seasons of answered prayers and open doors. Here are a few insights that stood out and encouraged us to be active participants in our own breakthrough:

  1. God’s Timing Doesn’t Follow Our Rules: God isn’t bound by the traditional structure of beginnings, middles, and endings that we often use. When God speaks, His words are like seeds that begin to grow and change things immediately. God’s timeline operates outside of our understanding, so we must trust Him to act in His timing.

  2. Speak Life into Every Situation: We have the power to shape our lives through what we declare. Pastor emphasized that we should not just wait for blessings passively; instead, we should boldly speak God’s promises over our lives, even when things look bleak. He urged, “Say let there be’ over your situation.” This simple but faith-filled declaration can ignite growth where we once saw only emptiness.

  3. Recognize and Embrace the Season of Answered Prayers: Dr. GreGory revealed that we’re stepping into a season of answered prayers and open doors. This isn’t just an abstract idea—it’s a real opportunity. He advised us to “Connect the dots” and called on us to embrace this season fully by acknowledging that the time for open doors is now, not in the distant future.

  4. God Blesses Beyond Our Understanding: Comparing our earthly struggles to the boundless blessings God offers, far exceeds anything we can imagine. “Even with our faults, we know how to give good gifts,” Pastor said. “How much more does our Heavenly Father?” This season is about trusting that God wants to bless us in ways that may seem unconventional or even out of season.

  5. Expect Bloom in Your Winter: As we approach winter, Dr. Gregory shared a word of hope: “There shall be blooms in your winter.” This isn’t just a promise of physical blessings but also of spiritual growth and renewal. God can cause us to flourish even when the world seems barren around us. With faith, we can see our “winter” seasons as opportunities for God to show up in extraordinary ways.

Pastor's message encourages us to actively knock on the doors God has set before us, trusting that He will open them in His time. It’s a reminder that seasons come and go, but God’s faithfulness remains constant. This is a season of opportunity—let’s not miss it.
