Lord, I’m All In

Dr. GreGory Wendell reminded us this Sunday that being all in with God is more than attending church, serving in ministry, or saying the right words.

Being all in means God has our whole heart.

It means there are no competing loyalties. No hidden backup plan. No part of our life where we say, “Lord, You can have this, but not that.”

Pastor reminded us that God does not want visitation rights in our lives. He wants lordship. Every room belongs to Him — the public room, the private room, the emotional room, the financial room, the future room, and the secret room.

And that kind of surrender shows up in everyday life.

It shows up when we choose prayer instead of panic. It shows up when we feed our spirit instead of only feeding our appetite. It shows up when we keep our devotion strong, even when our schedule changes. Because faith is not just something we attend on Sunday. Faith is something we live.

Pastor also warned us about compromise. Compromise does not always sound rebellious. Sometimes it sounds reasonable. It says, “It’s not that serious,” even when God has already given instruction.

But the hope of the message was this: God is still calling us to look up.

We do not have to live with our eyes down, repeating old words over ourselves. We belong to God. We can speak life. We can walk in surrender. We can become people whose feet are on earth, but whose hearts are attached to heaven.

So as you move through this week, take a quiet moment and ask yourself:

Lord, where are You asking me to go all in?
