WHAT YOU DO ECHOES

Have you ever asked yourself, Am I living on purpose or just reacting to life? Prophet GreGory’s latest message was a bold, clarifying word that called us out of convenience and into conviction.
“Living on Purpose” means choosing a life that’s purpose-driven, not pleasure-driven. Pastor challenged us to examine whether we’re making choices that produce fruit that lasts—or just temporary satisfaction. As he said, “Discipline now or regret later.” That hit hard.
We were reminded that purpose isn’t always packaged in comfort. In fact, purpose will often call you to places your preferences would never go. It will require obedience over convenience and surrender over self. “Not my will, but Thy will be done.”
Scripture after scripture unfolded the weight and beauty of obedience:
Ecclesiastes 12:13 – “Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.”
Proverbs 15:27 – A warning that our pursuit of pleasure can corrupt our purpose.
Luke 6:43 – “Fruit reveals the root.” Our actions tell the truth about what we’re planted in.
Pastor reminded us: “Everything that glitters isn’t God.” What looks like gain may actually be a trap—just a curse wrapped in glitter (Deuteronomy 13:3). That’s why discernment is so vital when you’re walking in purpose. Don’t be fooled by what feels good; be anchored in what is good.
He asked us point-blank: “What are you paying for? The fruit of your choices is forming right now, whether you can see it or not.” That statement calls for reflection. It makes you realize that even the smallest decision has ripple effects.
One of the most powerful points of the message was about growth: “At a certain stage, you have to be pierced to go higher in God.” Sometimes the very pain we’re trying to avoid is the place God wants to use to elevate us. But that requires discipline—not self-affliction, not self-sabotage—but real, Spirit-led discipline. As Pastor said, “Discipline is pain without punishment.”
Key takeaways from the message:
Purpose is for life—it’s not seasonal or situational.
You don’t have 50 years to get it right. Respond now.
Obedience is better than sacrifice.
God’s purpose doesn’t move at the pace of your feelings—it’s hidden in faithfulness.
What’s fueling your choices—your preferences or His purpose?
In closing, Pastor reminded us that “God wants you back.” Maybe you’ve been off track. Maybe you’ve been chasing glitter instead of God. But the invitation still stands. All it takes is a surrendered heart and a willing spirit. Jump in. Say, “Lord, help me.” And He will.

I’m so torn on the vote! I’d say mine was Purpose driven until the last month it’s leaned towards emotion led. Sometimes I feel my commitment to obligatory things causes me to put purpose aside and that brings me to a place my emotions begin to lead. This msg helped me, getting my discipline back is what this wk is about for me. Thanks Pastor for that timely word! It was quick!
