What’s Guiding Your Mind—The World or the Word?

We’re living in a time when the world is louder than ever, pulling our thoughts in a thousand directions. But in this week’s message, Dr. GreGory reminded us that there’s a deeper, more sacred way to think. Not just with our human intellect, but with the mind that’s empowered by the Holy Spirit.

He shared a profound truth: “The spirit is the thinker, and the brain is the vessel.” That means we’re not just wired to process information—we’re designed to be led by divine revelation. Our thoughts, when surrendered to God, can become tools of transformation—not just for us, but for the world around us.

“Don’t just think—think with God.”

When our minds operate outside of God’s Spirit, we risk becoming full of information but empty in direction. Dr. GreGory compared it to having a full brain but an empty mind. The brain may know facts, but without the Holy Spirit, there’s no compass guiding our purpose. That’s why true wisdom starts with fearing God—it’s the reverence for His presence that unlocks the clarity we’re all seeking.

If you’ve ever felt like your plans were “busted up,” maybe that was God’s way of doing spiritual construction. He doesn’t ruin things to ruin us—He reroutes to redeem. And when we chase after the Son instead of the spotlight, we’ll never be left in the dark.

As Dr. GreGory preached, we’re called to burn for God even when the world around us grows dim. The mind isn’t just a place of thought—it’s a battlefield, a sanctuary, a launching pad for Kingdom purpose. But without the Word, we’re fighting without a weapon. Without the Spirit, we’re thinking without power.

So the question becomes: Are you living from your flesh or from the Spirit? Are you just thinking… or are you thinking with God?

Let these reflection points stir your heart:

  • Has the Word of God truly changed the way you think?

  • Can people feel the presence of God when they’re near you?

  • Are your dreams aligned with God's light—or are they just ambitions in the dark?

  • Is your mind a vessel that hosts the mind of God?

Dr. GreGory reminded us that AI may imitate thinking, but it cannot breathe life. Only God’s Spirit can do that. That’s why we must read His Word, meditate on it daily, and allow it to renew us from the inside out.

“Sacrifices of joy” begin when we stop thinking alone and start thinking with God.

Let your thoughts be filled with truth. Let your mind be a place where heaven hovers. Let the Spirit guide you into boldness, peace, and purpose. Because we weren’t just created to think—we were created to be transformed.

Scripture to Reflect On:For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.” — Romans 11:34
