The Umbilical Cord That Heals the Soul

This Sunday, Pastor reminded us that God has always had a life-giving connection to His people. He compared it to an umbilical cord — a spiritual line that carries hope, healing, and destiny straight from heaven into our lives.
Just as a natural cord nourishes a child, our spiritual cord keeps us covered and connected to God’s plan. Pastor taught that once the natural cord is cut, God uses our pastor as a spiritual connection point, a heavenly cord on earth that guides, feeds, and protects God’s people.
Formed by God, Seen by God
Psalm 139 reminded us that God saw our substance before we were even born. Our destiny was being developed long before we ever knew His name. Nothing about our lives is accidental, we were fashioned with intention.
Light in Dark Places
Pastor shared that even in our darkest moments, God provides a “moon in the darkness.” It may not be full light, but it’s enough to keep moving forward. God always makes sure we can see the next step.
He Gives Seed to the Sower
Pastor shared a story of giving and taught a simple truth: “When you really want to do something, you’ll make it happen — and in return, God continues to give seed to the sower.” That’s why we should “leave the house with extra.” Extra kindness, extra patience, extra grace, extra seed. God blesses a willing heart.
Heal Before You Help
One of the strongest lessons was this: God wants us to help from healed places, not wounded places. When we stay connected to the heavenly cord, what flows out of us changes. We start giving life, not passing along hurt.
Still Standing
Pastor closed with a declaration many of us felt deeply: “After all I’ve been through, I’m still standing. I still have joy.”
God’s spiritual cord held us together. It kept us when we couldn’t keep ourselves.
