From the sermon “God Makes Provision” by Dr. GreGory Wendell. This message reminded us of something simple, but easy to miss:
God is already providing… even when we don’t recognize it.
We often find ourselves asking God to send what He has already positioned. We’re looking ahead, waiting for something new… while overlooking what’s already around us. And if we’re honest, sometimes we’re so focused on what hasn’t shown up yet…that we miss what’s already been placed in our hands.
Some blessings have already arrived. Some are right beneath us. And some are still on the way. But here’s where it gets real, sometimes we miss provision because it didn’t come the way we expected.
It didn’t look like the answer we imagined. It didn’t feel big enough. It didn’t arrive in the timing we preferred. So we dismissed it…overlooked it…or kept praying for something God had already released.
What if the answer isn’t missing… just misunderstood?
What if what you’ve been asking for is already in your life, just packaged differently than you thought?
This word challenges us to slow down and take a closer look. Because sometimes provision doesn’t come as something new…it comes as a new awareness of what’s already there.
God doesn’t always send more. Sometimes He reveals what’s already been given.
He’s not trying to figure out your situation. He’s not scrambling to meet your need. Nothing in your life has caught Him off guard. If there’s a need… there is already a supply. And maybe it’s about choosing peace, knowing that God’s provision is not late, not lacking, and not uncertain. It’s already in motion.
