Living Like God Already Answered

Dr. GreGory Wendell opened Sunday sermon with a question that reaches beyond ordinary memory: How do you remember?
Usually, remembering means looking backward. We remember what happened, what hurt, what changed, and what we lost. But faith teaches the soul another way to remember. Faith remembers what God promised—even before it happens.
That means we can carry hope into an uncertain week because God has already seen every day ahead of us. We may not know when the answer will come or how everything will work together, but we know the One who created tomorrow.
Sometimes life does not go according to plan. A door closes. Something we wanted becomes unavailable. A delay changes our schedule. Yet, as Dr. GreGory illustrated, God may allow what we wanted to “melt” so He can lead us to where we truly need to be.
What feels like an interruption may be an appointment. What looks like a setback may be a redirection. Nothing has been wasted, and nothing has been taken from you that God cannot use for your good.
Faith does not require us to pretend today is easy. It invites us to stop allowing today to determine what we believe about tomorrow. God still has thoughts of peace toward us, and He is still leading us toward an expected end.
So, while you wait, remember the promise before it becomes your testimony. Let your soul begin living in what shall be.
Which promise from God do you need to remember while you wait?
