Give Your Peace to God: Trust in His Good Thoughts

Dr. GreGory delivered a profound message that touched on various aspects of our spiritual journey. One of the most poignant parts of his sermon focused on what we give our peace to willingly and the reassuring thoughts that God has towards us.

Guarding Our Peace

In today's world, it's easy to become consumed by worries, stress, and distractions. However, Pastor reminded us that our peace is a precious gift that we must guard diligently. He urged us not to let external circumstances or negative thoughts rob us of the peace that God intends for us to have.

"When I come to church, I don't have a bill on my mind, I don't have a crazy child or spouse on my mind. This is from me to you, it's all about you, Jesus."

This call to protect our peace is a reminder that our mindset plays a crucial role in our spiritual well-being. By choosing to focus on gratitude and God's goodness, we can maintain our peace even amidst life's challenges.

God's Good Thoughts Towards Us

Dr. GreGory then transitioned into a powerful affirmation of God's thoughts towards us. Drawing from biblical scripture, he reassured us that God sees us with love and has wonderful plans for our lives.

"I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope" (Jeremiah 29:11)."

He painted a vivid picture of the blessings that God envisions for us:

"I see you with no tears... no sorrow... no pain... no more death... access to the fountain of the water of life... in a city promised with walls of Jasper, gates of pearls, streets of gold... your name written in the Lamb's Book of Life."

This imagery served as a powerful reminder that God’s vision for our lives is filled with joy, peace, and eternal happiness. It challenges us to align our own thoughts with God’s, to see ourselves as He sees us—blessed, loved, and full of potential.

Living in Peace and Purpose

As we reflect on Pastor's sermon, let's take his words to heart. Let us guard our peace by focusing on gratitude and trust in God’s good thoughts towards us. By doing so, we can navigate life’s challenges with a sense of calm and assurance, knowing that God’s plans for us are filled with hope and a future.

"For the love of God, LIVE!" he urged us, calling us to embrace life fully with a heart attuned to God’s love and a spirit ready to give and serve."

May this message inspire you to live each day with renewed faith, peace, and purpose, always remembering that God’s thoughts towards you are of peace, love, and abundant blessings.
