From the sermon The Invisible Guest by Dr. GreGory. (Listen to Audio Blog)
This message reminds us that not every struggle enters loudly. Some things arrive quietly—an unchallenged thought, an old fear, a familiar pattern—and over time, they begin to influence how we live.
Dr. GreGory taught us that freedom doesn’t come from trying harder. It comes from renewal. When we recognize a thought, interrupt agreement with it, and replace it with God’s truth, the environment begins to change.
Fear only stays if it’s agreed with. Condemnation only settles if it’s entertained. But when God’s Word takes its place, those influences lose their seat.
But the message didn’t end in warning—it ended in hope. When the Lord becomes the visible guest, light enters the room. Fear loses authority. Old narratives lose their voice. And confidence returns, not because the trouble disappears, but because God is present.
