In a world filled with challenges and uncertainties, love remains a constant source of strength and inspiration. It has the power to transform our lives and the lives of those around us.
In the message "If We Can Access Love" Dr. GreGory used a vivid and compelling analogy when he said: "When you go in to rescue someone, you don't get over the ocean, hang from a helicopter, and say, 'How'd you get there? What did you do? This powerful imagery reminds us that love doesn't wait for explanations or justifications. It acts when it sees a need, responding with grace and compassion.
Pastor also used the story of the woman with the alabaster box as a beautiful example of how even the smallest acts of love can have a profound impact. This woman broke open her precious alabaster box and poured its contents over Jesus, an act of devotion that was met with criticism from some of those present. However, Jesus recognized the beauty and significance of her gift. He said, "Wherever the good news is proclaimed in the whole world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her" (Mark 14:9).
The woman's act of love was a reminder that love is not about what we do, but about who we are. When we let love guide our actions, we become more like Christ, who gave His life for the love of humanity.
Here are some specific ways that we can let love guide our actions in our everyday lives:
Be kind and compassionate.
Offer help and support to those in need, without judgment or conditions.
Forgive those who have wronged us.
Be patient and understanding.
Speak words of encouragement and love.
Make choices that are aligned with God's Word.
When we let love guide our actions, we become more compassionate, kind, and selfless.
