MOMMY'S SWEET POTATOE PIE

About the Recipe

Ingredients

6 to 7 large sweet potatoes 1/2 tsp allspice

2 sticks of butter 3 1/2 cup sugar

1/2 tsp pumpkin spice 1 1/2 cup half & half milk

1/2 tsp. nutmeg 1 doz. eggs(6 for less custard

1/2 tsp cinnamon filling)


Preheat oven to 350°. Boil sweet potatoes until tender. Peel when cool then mash.

Mix all ingredients together until fluffy. Pour into crust lined 9 inch glass pans 3 1/2 -

4 cups per pie). Bake for one hour or until done.



Crust

2 1/2- 3 cups pre-sifted flour 1 tsp salt

1/2 cup Crisco shortening 6 T cold water

1/2 cup Fleischmann's margarine


Mix ingredients until crumbly. Roll out on floured surface and shape dough, place

in greased pie pan.
