About the Recipe
Ingredients
1 cup water 1 tsp cinnamon
2 black tea bags 1 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cup sugar 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
1/4 cup cocoa powder or 1/2 Tbs almond, orange, mint or
unsweetened cocoa powder raspberry extract
4 cups milk Whipped Cream
1 tsp vanilla Ground Nutmeg
In a small saucepan, bring water to boiling. Remove from heat, add tea
bags, cover and let steep for 5 minutes. Strain brewed tea into a large
saucepan and discard tea bags. Stir sugar and cocoa powder into tea,
stirring to dissolve sugar. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. add milk, vanilla,
cinnamon, ground nutmeg, cardamom and extract. Cook and stir over
medium heat until mixture is heated through (do not boil). Remove
from heat, to serve, pour hot mixture into mugs. Top each serving with
whipped cream and additional nutmeg. Makes 4 to 6 servings..
