About the Recipe

Ingredients

4 cups cake flour(not self rising 11/2 tsp lemon extract

flour) 2 cups (4 sticks) butter @ room

2 tsp baking powder temperature

11/4 cup cold milk 2 1/2 cups sugar

2 tsp vanilla extract 6 eggs @ room temperature


Preheat oven to 350°. Butter and flour 10 inch tube cake pan. Using an electric mixer set to high, beat the butter until creamy (1 min.) Slowly add sugar. Beat until light in color and texture ( 2 mins.) Beat in eggs

1 at a time. Beat in flour in 3 additions alternating with the milk. Beat until smooth, Pour into tube pan

and smooth the top. Bake for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
