An Introduction to
Christian Living

As Christians, we are called to mirror the behavior of Jesus Christ. This means being gracious and merciful to others, just as he was. When we show grace and mercy, we are reflecting the love of God to the world.

The Bible tells us that we are being transformed into the image of Christ from glory to glory (2 Corinthians 3:18). This transformation happens as we behold the Lord and reflect his glory. When we spend time in God's Word and in prayer, we are filled with his presence and his love. This love overflows into our lives, and we are able to show grace and mercy to others.

Being gracious and merciful to others is not always easy. But it is a vital part of following Jesus. When we show grace and mercy, we are showing the world the love of God.  Here are some specific examples of how we can mirror the behavior of Jesus Christ by being gracious and merciful to others:

  • We can forgive those who have wronged us.

  • We can show compassion to those who are suffering.

  • We can help those in need.

  • We can be kind and gentle to others.

  • We can speak words of encouragement and hope.

When we live our lives in this way, we are reflecting the love of God to the world. We are showing others that there is hope and redemption in Jesus Christ.
